Rufflecon 2017 was a great success, taking place November 10-12 in Stamford, Connecticut at the Sheraton Stamford hotel. The annual conference celebrated its 4th year, and inspired attendees with the theme of “The Institute of Fashion Alchemy”. Rufflecon hosted guests from Japan including the Lolita brand Metamorphose, Triple Fortune, and Orisian. The schedule for the weekend featured fashion shows throughout, panels, workshops, contests and special events.

Starting on Friday, the Rufflecon Consignment room was opened with a packed inventory featuring a wide variety of goods for every budget. The Marketplace, always a popular destination, also opened with vendors from not only across the country but also the globe offering something for every aesthetic.

On Friday, Rufflecon asked attendees to show us their best coordinates in our annual Coordinate Contest and they did not disappoint.

Friday evening, members were invited to the Evening Soiree, where Triple Moon Trading and Princess Henna were on hand to offer their skills.

Throughout the weekend there were a variety of educational and entertaining panels to participate in such as Blackbird Finery’s “Vintage Gentlemen’s Accessories” and “Lolita and Cosplay with Triple Fortune”. Workshops were also scheduled throughout the weekend allowing members to pick up a new skill like “Ribbon Embroidery” or “Victorian Parlor Magic”.

Saturday evening, Rufflecon was happy to welcome back Boston BeauTease as they strutted their stuff in the “Diamonds in the Ruff” burlesque show followed by music by DJ MechnoSferatu.

On Sunday, Rufflecon hosted attendees at “The Alchemist’s Tasting Room”, the annual tea party. Attendees enjoyed a full tea service and some lucky winners were able to take home our amazing raffle prizes from brands such as Metamorphose, Atelier Sucre, and American Duchess.

Rufflecon 2017 would like to thank everyone who helped make it such an amazing weekend; our guests, sponsors, volunteers, staff, and of course our wonderful members.

Sorry. No data so far.
