Harajuku Tokyo Fashion Exhibit: Shironuri Modeling for Artist Minori Mon

In Honolulu, Hawaii we had this amazing exhibit on Harajuku Fashion called the “Harajuku Tokyo Fashion Exhibit”. The exhibit was full of clothing and accessories of various Harajuku styles. There were also videos and pictures displayed within the exhibit as well. One of the coolest things I thought about the exhibit is that they hired live models to work in the exhibit and to also act as a docent to the visitors. I was very fortunate and was chosen to work in this exhibit.

During my time in the exhibit I was able to meet many models and designers from Japan. One of my most memorable times was when I modeled for Shironuri model and artist Minori Mon. Minori Mon designed an outfit that was displayed in the exhibit and also attended the opening ceremony party to demonstrate how she applies her Shironuri makeup.

During the demonstration I was her model and she applied the Shironuri makeup on me. This experience was so amazing and I was so happy to meet one of my most idolized artist. I have always loved Shironuri and it was a dream to be part of this experience.
